He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in the clinic of Aristotle University, Papanikolaou hospital. There after, he received a scholarship from EEXOT to work in Henry Mondor hospital, in France. He served as scientific collaborator of the orthopaedic clinic Panagia (former IKA) and the 3rd (C’) University clinic, in Papageorgiou hospital.
Today he works privately in his office and operates in Euromedica (Blue Cross) clinic of Thessaloniki. In addition, he constitutes an active member of KEPA (center for certification of disability).
The current decade is characterized by rapid progress of orthopaedic surgery, with the application of novel methods for operations and utilization of technology, which requires an appropriate level of training and continuous learning of the doctor, to remain up to date. In this realm, the doctor covers the whole spectrum of orthopaedic surgery, consisting of ample experience in trauma (including fractures and traumatized soft tissue), sports medicine with arthroscopy (meniscus tears, cruciate ligaments disruptions, dislocations and osteochondral lessions ), Orthopaedics (total hip and knee replacements, osteotomies and correction of deformities), entrapment syndromes of peripheral nerves (carpal tunnel and ulnar tunnel syndromes) and surgery of the spine (discectomy and kyphoplasty).
In addition, he holds great experience on metabolic bone diseases and osteoporosis in particular, as he is a founding member of EEMMO (Company for the Control and Study of Bone Metabolism) and member of the ruling council, representative of ELIOS (Hellenic Institution for Osteoporosis) in Thessaloniki, and one of the most frequent speakers and teachers in these aforementioned topics. His is a member of ΕΕΧΟΤ, Hellenic Orthopaedic Association of Macedonia and Thrace, Sports Medicine Association of Greece, EEMMOΟ, ELIOS και ISMNI, whilst he is an affiliated member of ΑΑOS.(American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons).
